Frequently Asked Questions

Please check our Frequently Asked Questions below, regarding our cat and dog treats. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

As our treats do not contain any artificial preservatives, their shelf life is shorter than other brands that contain preservatives. The shelf life is approximately 12 months after leaving the oven, however, this can vary by treat type. All of our treats have a specific Best Before date printed on the bottom of the tube.

We recommend you feed our treats before the Best Before date. Once the treats have been opened, we recommend your pet consumes them within 2 weeks. These are intended as guidelines. If the product is not stored in a sealed bag or air-tight container, it can be exposed to air and/or moisture which could cause the food to become dry and brittle, or could create the potential for mold to grow; either of these would be an indicator that the food has not been stored properly and should no longer be consumed by your pet.

Dog Treats: Feed our biscuits as a snack or treat to your dog. Fresh, clean drinking water must be made available. This is a complimentary food and is not a complete diet. Not Intended for human consumption. We recommend your dog consumes our treats within 2 weeks of opening the bag. Reseal the bag to maintain freshness.

Cat Treats: Feed your adult cat 2 treats for each 450g (1 pound) of body weight, not to exceed up to 10 treats daily, as a snack or reward. Fresh, clean drinking water must be made available. This is a complimentary food and is not a complete diet. Not Intended for human consumption. Treat food only. We recommend your cat consumes our treats within 2 weeks of opening the bag. Reseal the bag to maintain freshness.

We are proud to say our unique treat tube packaging is made from 100% recyclable kraft paper and is plastic free. We refuse to be responsible for contributing thousands of additional pieces of single use plastic into our environment and our oceans. Although our treat tubes can be composted, we recommend that you either re-use the tube or place it in your recycling bin. This is because it will avoid an increase in demand for further deforestation to create new cardboard.

Our compostable interior bags are made from naturally occurring plant based materials such as FSC recycled paper, cellulose, GE-free corn and sugarcane. The certified home compostable film used in our packaging is made from cellulose, which is found in the cell wall of plants. Our cellulose is sourced from sustainably grown eucalyptus trees.

As much as we love them, pets contribute to global issues like climate change. They each have their own carbon paw print.

In order to help reduce the impact our pets have on our environment, we believe that their treats (up to 10% of their diet) do not need to contain animal products. Our use of eco-friendly, zero-plastic packaging also helps to reduce our impact on our planet. We also do not use excessive and wasteful packaging.
